Hybrid position-schedule will be set by the hiring manager. Must report on-site at least first/last days of engagement to inventory equipment*

Full-time position - 37.5 hours per week

Candidate must show a valid state or federal issued photo ID during the interview. (Examples: state driver’s license, passport, visa, etc.) 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, publish, and maintain enterprise reference architectures and standards.

• Lead modernization planning for transitioning legacy systems to cloud-native or hybrid architectures.

• Architect and oversee integrations with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Appian, and Azure.

• Design secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with Commonwealth security frameworks, federal regulations, and industry best practices.

• Collaborate with agency stakeholders to ensure architecture aligns with business goals and citizen engagement needs.

• Provide technical guidance and solution oversight to development teams and project managers.

• Define and promote data interoperability strategies across multiple systems while ensuring compliance with record retention and protection policies.

• Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve service delivery, reporting, and efficiency.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation, roadmaps, and architectural standards.

• Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders by communicating complex technical strategies in a comprehensible manner.

• Support architecture governance by reviewing and validating solution architectures, ensuring compliance with enterprise policies and guiding technology decision-making.

• Develop business capability models and ensure roadmaps align with strategic goals, regulatory mandates, and citizen service objectives.

• Collaborate across business, data, application, and technical domains to deliver holistic solutions that integrate seamlessly across the enterprise.

• Influence without direct authority, serving as a trusted advisor to IT leadership, business partners, and project teams.

Required Experience

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Six years of professional information technology experience and a bachelor’s degree; or

• Ten years of professional information technology experience; or

• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

You must have experience with:

• Application development and modernization.

• Enterprise reference architectures and technology standards.

• API design and secure system integrations.

• Cloud solution architecture (preferably Azure).

• Developing and executing technology roadmaps that align technical domains with business objectives.

• Translating complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as TOGAF 9.x, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Salesforce Certified Application Architect.

• Experience in state or federal government environments.

• Familiarity with low-code platforms, especially Appian (case management, workflows, and regulatory systems).

• Familiarity with Salesforce, geospatial systems, or regulatory data standards.
